In the first T20I match at the iconic Sydney Cricket Ground, Australia women were asked to bat first and they posted 198 runs on the board thanks to the opener batter Beth Mooney's 75 runs off 51 balls.

In response, England women lost both opener batters for a duck. Sophia Dunkley fought back with her 59 off just 30 balls but that was not enough for the visitors as they lost the game by 57 runs.

The tourists have already lost the ODI series 0-3 and one more loss would decline their chances to win the Women's Ashes after a decade. Beth Mooney was named the Player of the Match for her match-winning performance in the opening T20I game.

Earlier in the match, a raucous crowd gave the Chinese players full support as they faced a formidable Pakistan. The game started slow with both teams struggling to find space in each other's defence. However, China kept control of the ball and made more attacks than Pakistan.

SAARI Faizal of Malaysia scored two goals for his side, while SAARI Fitri added another, and ANUAR Akhimullah opened the scoring in the first quarter.
